New Communication successfully manages catalogue translations for their client Hobby-Wohnwagenwerk

The Kiel- based marketing and advertising company New Communication trusts in ONTRAM to manage the translation processes for their client Hobby-Wohnwagenwerk. The focus is on translating the product catalogues into nine different languages.

With New Communication, Andrä AG gained a strategically important partner in 2015.
"The application for New Communication is an exciting example of the added value that our TMS solution brings to creative service providers," explains Michael Csorba, Head of Sales of Andrä AG. "On the one hand, ONTRAM enables them to increase their range of translation services in an uncomplicated way, on the other hand, smaller customers benefit from our on-demand model, thus eliminating the otherwise fixed license costs. We are pleased that with ONTRAM we can offer an attractive solution in this market segment."

The live preview for InDesign documents lets translators see the context relation and reduces the number of re-runs.
The output files in the target languages are ready for printing and only need minimum final artwork, if any.
"ONTRAM saved us a lot of time in catalogue production on the first program," said Mats Bauer, Strategic Consultant at New Communication. "The management of InDesign documents runs smoothly and the memory browser renders the otherwise time-consuming search for text passages redundant."
The integrated translation memory allows re-use of already existing texts. Production of catalogs can be done faster and cheaper than ever before.

The German source data are created by New Communication with Adobe InDesign and are approved by the customer before the translators jobs are provided online via ONTRAM. "Through the use of ONTRAM, we can speed up the coordination process with our customers’ foreign agents," explains Sören Mohr, Managing Director of New Communication. "ONTRAM helps us to make the complexity of translations manageable."
